The intention behind Fortuna
Neither of us could have made Fortuna alone.
Fortuna grew out of a collaboration between Orlin and me. As a visual artist, I’ve long been drawn to myth and symbolism, and the idea for Fortuna grew from that fascination.
Orlin brought more than twenty years of experience as a professional tarot reader. I couldn’t think of anyone whose judgement I trusted more as we explored whether AI could do justice to a tarot reading.
Together, we shaped Fortuna’s voice through careful testing and many conversations: how it interprets the cards, makes connections, and speaks to the person asking. That voice carries something of both of us—our sensibilities, our experience, and our care for what a reading can offer.
Keep the ritual. See the whole story.
Fortuna grew out of hands-on tarot practice and a curiosity about how guidance can feel both intuitive and clear. The intention is not to replace your ritual, but to support it.
Your question, the cards and their relationships belong together. Fortuna reads the spread in context, rather than treating every card as an isolated answer.
Bring your own deck or draw cards in the app. There is no need to memorise every meaning before you begin. Take what resonates, reflect on it and keep your own judgement at the centre.
